Here’s the recap for our first edition of the “The DeFi Uprising” October Edition! BLA2020 focuses on the recent trend in blockchain, DeFi. Decentralized finance is one of the sectors that has been trying to shake the traditional financial ecosystem, providing solutions such as lending, staking, exchange of derivatives and many more! However, the barrier of adopting DeFi as a platform remains, as the general public does not understand the concept of DeFi well. Therefore, BLA aims to educate the masses about the potential of DeFi and inspire mass adoption of this technology.

Off to the Moon: How MoonSwap Brings You Whole New DEX Trading Experience
As the world’s first next-generation DEX protocol that offers 0 GAS fee and a high-speed AMM system, MoonSwap is built as the Layer 2 solution of Ethereum with the Conflux network as the underlying tech.
Jenny Yang, the Community Core Member of MoonSwap and Founder and CEO of BlockGlobe, gave an in-depth introduction to MoonSwap and shared their existing programs and partners. In addition, Jenny has also addressed MoonSwap’s upcoming plans during the session and any future updates will be through MoonSwap’s existing channels (Twitter, Medium).
PlutusSwap: Unlocking Economic Equality, Prosperity and Financial Freedom for the Mass
With an end-goal of being a digital friction-free, open-sourced and equitable financial system, PlutusSwap is the enabler that is built on Plutus Capital’s vision of “Bank the Unbank, Unbank the Bank”.
Anthony Johnson, PlutusSwap Advisor and COO of VTransFair, shared with the community on how the Plutus ecosystem will revolutionise the Fintech and DeFi industry. In addition, Anthony also addressed questions from the community and gave a hint on an upcoming potential partnership in the near future. Be a Team Player: Locking project liquidity tokens and founder tokens
Since the launch of DeFi projects, there has been the problem of DeFi projects pulling liquidity, dumping founder tokens or minting new tokens.
Hence, the Lead Developer of Team.Finance gave an in-depth explanation on the team’s solution to mitigate “rugpull” and provide transparency to DeFi investors. The Lead Developer also shared how TEAM operates as a non-custodial coin locking utility, primarily serving newer projects that look to build trust with the community. What is next for BLA2020?
For our first edition of “The DeFi Uprising”, we are grateful to have some of the biggest names in DeFi to come on-board as partners and speakers. For our next edition, we will be focusing on the hottest trend — AMMs.
With so many anon projects in the DeFi market right now, credibility and trust between projects and the community are extremely important.
